Knights of Sidonia was drawn by an architect. Definitely shows - thel background / landscape shots are quite ridiculously good and give you the scope a lot of comics tend to miss.

Patlabor movies 1&2: extremely realistic mecha and pretty deep story, though they are really slow and don’t have the explosive pace most action animes bring. I love them still. There’s also a very good abridged version of Patlabor 1 on YouTube, it’s hard to remember the actual movie after watching it.
Ghost in the Shell movie, GITS Stand Alone Complex and Second Gig are also extremely good. In a way they are one of the definite sources of modern cyberpunk - though hardly the first, the inspiration they brought can be only compared to Star Trek imo. There have been GitS stuff since, but they never managed to recapture the same heights.
And if you like more modern stuff, 86 is one of my favorite shows of late. The base story isn’t bad - it clearly has a lot of thought put into it, but it feels somewhat bland in parts - but the way they brought it to anime was just sheff’s kiss. It’s ridiculously well directed. That said, you need to have a certain appreciation to bleaknees and some (melo)drama to really enjoy it.
The experience, perhaps.
My country has become a practical dictatorship, and I’ve realised that people living here are not only ok with that but are happy that decisions are made for them. I miss the days I believed in people.

If I know they are there then I either supervise visitors or trust them to not rummage/take my stuff. If that is your issue then keep your postit in a drawer; most people don’t keep their yubikeys in a securely bolted safe either.
If someone has access to your sticky note they’re already in your house, and that’s a bigger issue IMO… even from an itsec perspective, once the attacker has physical access to guarantee safety is difficult.

It kinda depends. For example half my family likes things on the saltier side, while the other half likes things not very salty. Some after-salting helps a lot to make everyone happy. It doesn’t fully replace proper salting while cooking, though.
Saying that out loud nowadays makes you a public enemy in quite a few circles, sadly enough.
I’ve driven a diesel Renault for 12 years (loke 300k km) and didn’t need to replace any of those. The only big unplanned cost I had was a faulty EGR valve, which happened at 600km and wasn’t warranty for some reason.
That said regular oil change for clutch and brakes were mildly expensive, but I guess even for EV you’d want the brake hydraulics replaced the same way.
Edit : just spotted filters. Yeah I replaced every filter every service, but with how grimy they look, even in EV I’d argue for replacing them.
