bunches of refurbished t-series thinkpads out there - t480, t430, etc. apparently the 490 is one to avoid. I got a t470 some months back for $150 - put mint on it and have been very happy with the performance.

well, to an extent that xorg only exists in outdated distros that no longer get updates is what I meant - but in essence, yes.
it sure will be interesting when xorg gets deprecated
bought a (used) t470 a few months ago, been happy with it - especially for the price.
had a 1st gen paperwhite for years and eventually it just became too slow to use. go a fire8 tablet recently, does all the same things + other options.
old as in the item’s age or old describing how long I’ve owned it for?
first one is an enameled cast iron pot that my folks got decades ago, one of their folks had it - it’s a really ugly 1960s orangish sort of red/brown. it’s super old, but I’ve only had it for 5 or 6 years. damn thing is so ugly it just keeps getting passed down to whomever likes to cook.
2nd one is my can opener - got it in 1998, it’s built like a tank. actually used to it hammer tent pegs into rocky soil when camping once.
this should be a sticky for the community. simple, concise, answers the major questions.
been rockin kde neon for the last little while, but also really like mint
eggnog. it’s not a menu item, but a local creamery releases a seasonal eggnog this time of the year.
install freetube. all the win of youtube without any of the fail
hoohoo! Linus pulled a scream test and then forced the naysayers to maintain the crap they want. rofl
civ 5 - random everything & just do whatever.
xorg is going to die eventually. probably long after the xorg fanbois, but it will die - and wayland or something better will take its place.
not that open - I tried to run rm -rf in the terminal and it did nothing.
