It’s been here since the Galaxy S3 days…
It’s been here since the Galaxy S3 days…
All the high end phones are flat now so the assembly line for curved screens are throwing a discount.
What if you live in a country that doesn’t send any money to Israel? Also, boycotts do work.
It’s better for discovery, just casually browse and just block the communities that you don’t like. Much better for discovery.
I just use foldable phones now. The outer screen width of a Galaxy Fold is the same as an Xperia Z3 Compact and when I use the phone two handed I get the benefit of having a big-ass screen. You just get used to the weight after a while.
Teams are just shit like that. Although my company has migrated to 365 for our work apps, the team’s main communication is still Slack. With Slack I’m still able to find old messages easily and be able to link it in relevant context.
Pretty much. After I got married and started having kids I just want a PC setup that just works when I want to do anything on it. Without needing to troubleshoot some esoteric issue because apparently my motherboard is on a different revision version that changes the WiFi card to use some shit ass MediaTek card ONLY for that revision and now I can’t use WiFi or Bluetooth and I need to troubleshoot the issue for hours.
Maybe dying isn’t so bad after all…
…they do come with a warranty
Please enlighten me on how you can claim a warranty for a Pixel phone in a country where Pixel phones are not sold officially.
…you can do that
But that’s not very cash money behavior yes? Especially during these times. Not everyone has the disposable income for that.
If I spend 1000 USD on a device, wanting for it to come with a warranty is natural, no?
I’d love to spend hundreds of dollars for a spare part and wait for a couple of months to get it shipped before and then do the repair myself if something that falls under the warranty happens.
I know how fun it was, because I did it once during the Nexus days.
If you’re one of the lucky few who lives where it’s sold officially. Pixel phones have a notorious QC issue there’s no way in hell I’m going to get one without warranty.
Until then we’re stuck with iPhones and Samsungs.
It’s for video recording, not the screen resolution. I’d say for archival reasons it’s perfectly okay to record in 4k even if your phone display is not in 4k. Sometimes I like to view my recorded videos on my 4k TV to be watched with friends and family.
Even if Asus doesn’t allow a bootloader unlock, the community should find a way. I was able to unlock and relock my bootloader for the ROG Phone II using unofficial tools from the community.
Although now I just picked a phone that has the longest support that is available in my area. As with everything, with more age comes less time to fuck around configuring your PCs and smartphones.
Anonymity is like having a -4 and a disadvantage to saving throws to keep being level headed. It’s far too easy to forget that there’s another person on the other side of the argument.
Worldwide polarization efforts from the TPTB doesn’t help too.
Yep, I put it on my toddler’s ass when they misbehave.
The TV series actually helped with some of the pacing. Book and Series spoilers >!when I read the books after watching the series it’s like a whiplash how fast the story progresses. Juliette went out after only 1/3 of the book!<
If your app needs a lot of native modules Expo simply doesn’t cut it. Developing iOS apps without running an iOS simulator is a lot of pain. In my early days of development my team actually tried this. There are too many quirks for each major mobile OS (Android & iOS) that makes it a lot of pain during testing if you don’t at least try to run it on the simulator.
It’s something similar like the dotcom crash where everyone and their mother is looking to capitalize on The Next Big Thing™ which will then crash spectacularly but will leave a host of survivors that’ll be the next big companies.
