Awesome, thanks so much! I’ll bump this into the projects list 😁
Would this be an overly complex process for those with only some tinkering experience (e.g., I’ve got Linux on my laptop and have a general sense of how terminal/tilix works)? I’ve read the docs but can’t get a sense of the complexity
Business idea: scotcholate
Second this.
My read on it was that there’s a chance OP is a little over sensitive to the news cycle - happens sometimes. For me, it was the fear of Russia launching a war into N America in the next couple of years, and my family and I getting drafted. Real possibility, low likelihood.
Solution: disconnect from the news for a bit and reconnect with the ppl around you. We aren’t that important on a broad scale, unless one is in an overtly totalitarian country (then ignore my comment lol)
Thirdly not op. Prefer them over any of my other sock-tions.
Also also yes
Second on the RAZR+. Get it. Moto is still a solid company, they added some nice touches, and the exterior screen is awesome (if used less than expected). Paid ~1000 CAD on sale.
Only complaint so far is the OEM screen protector is getting a gnarly partial crease after 7 months, but it’s only noticeable on some screens and if you put your finger on it. Should be a warrantied issue I think, but unsure
I did a lot of research and personally found this to be the better option over the Samsung fold (not throwing any shade though).
Edit: also this year’s RAZR+ looks even better than last year’s
In a similar vein, I went with a Framework laptop. Expensive, but 100% modular and repairable, with an in-house secondhand marketplace. I have a gen 1, batch 2, and the thing is stunningly manufactured for a startup. Can’t say enough good things. Happy hunting!
Well now I have to go look into this kvaesisto!
Edit: how do you find the interface? I looked at the photos and it looks very interesting, kind of has some Sesame type system wide search functionality?

I came back to this several days later and was not disappointed 😍
Companies now want 24 hour productivity, which means they will abuse their workers to keep that cycle going. Worker healthy is probably not even a thought, just: how do we get more out of them?
Shoutout for Niagara. High quality reliable launcher. Only switched away after 2+ years cuz I got a little bored of the interface
This is absolutely the right approach. It creates a mental safety net so that your mind feels like it can let go, and as a result you do. After that it’s just a trickle of occasional new thoughts, as opposed to continuous storm. Wonderful approach, can’t recommend it enough
I’ve done some shopping and I too would recommend a Steelcase. I have one in the office and want to get one for home - I find everything at Staples and other home office stores just comes close, whereas this one is wildly adjustable (I’m tall and need all the help I can get).
That’s fair, maybe I misattributed what I disliked about what changed. But I like what you said about it going from being a stealthy assassin to being an open combat game - feels like it lost the heart of the franchise to me. Another element for me is that they went after being a bit more of a Skyrim-scale open world, which is not my preferred game type (I find them too long, which for me dilutes the punch of the story)
IMO the open world was a bad shift for the AC games, I haven’t enjoyed one since Unity. Hoping Mirage is solid, but they lost my trust so I won’t pay full price either
I’ve got a batch 1 and, barring some of the issues you’d expect from a new manufacturer, it is exceptional
This is the one! They’re ridiculously effective, so much so that my home provinces is sinking like 250 million into building 5 more of them over the next 5 years
Uptoots for snoot boops
Okay time to show my ignorance lol. Can you offer a resource on what a sandboxed browser is and what kind of tinkering is required??
