What is this for a name? In Silesian “chachara” is a female from “chachar” which means someone with no job, heavy drinker and potentially thief.

It’s not that bad practice if they’d do it as opt-in. I never consented to this and only figured out once when I looked at networking tab.
sznowicki@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Which program is the one that surprised you most that it is available on Linux?11·1 month agoI use Edge on my Ubuntu setup. Tried all the browsers that integrate with KeepassXC and Edge won. It’s the only browser that has a nice UI with tabs on a sidebar, decent performance, nice devtools and is not doing shady shit like Vivaldi.

They have tons of integrations that help a lot.
Source: using 3 languages every day while one of them I’m still shit and need this tool to not look like an idiot with no grammar

Prices are always little higher than on Amazon (I can live with that) but real issue is that even with Otto Up there’s just few items with one day delivery. And this really sucks.

I go with 200% and it works just fine on apple studio display.

Check Borg documentation. Somewhere there there’s a way to pass the password as an environmental variable.

I keep my drives encrypted with a key currently hosted in my router hoping they wouldn’t steal that. I’m thinking of actually putting it to cloud so I can disable it remotely.
It was quite a ride to make everything work and I made a blog post explaining it so I remember what I did.

So it was DNS?
sznowicki@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a movie you don't really watch but your damn proud to have on your shelf?4·1 year agoEmpire of The Sun and Fiddler on The Roof. Two classics, one with young Christian Bale, stupidity of war when people stop being humans, and second about dark Europe history but also love, family, getting older.
Two absolute essentials.
If I recall correctly beehaw is the one that federates with nearly no one right? If that’s the one I also think that would be most appropriate. They have good moderation and are safe space by design so this would be least problematic.
