What I misunderstood was what the bank required an app for, in my very sick and sleep deprived mind I thought they were saying banks required you to install their app to get service from that bank in any form which I thought was absurd, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Why do I need to use a mobile website? I guess the comment I replied to was meaning they require their app for mobile banking vs browser which I should have realized

I’ve never noticed any defederation from my instance or drama aside from the main posts talking about it, and if you came here interested in a piracy community it’s good for that, lemmy.dbzer0.com. “Lemmy.World” seems to be where all the drama happens hah. I have only ever made one account, interact with several different instances without issue. I agree using several accounts would be annoying.
We would call the sauce for burgers, fries etc ketchup, ‘tomato sauce’ in the US would be the sort for pasta, like marinara. If you asked for tomato sauce for a burger people would be very confused lol.
You have tomato sauce packets? It’s funny to think of ketchup as tomato sauce, in the US if you called it that everyone would be confused even though it is really the most accurate thing you could call it
A place I worked had a noodle machine made in Japan. The manufacturer had us send noodles to them from our shop in the US to ensure the machine was working properly and that our noodles were good, I had never heard of any other sort of company doing that. Where I work now has top quality machinery and they are mostly made in Japan.
Also from the US west, I’ve seen a bunch of hot vending machines! In several hospitals and schools in different states, a few gas stations. They will have coffee, tea or cocoa selections, a cup pops out and gets filled with fresh brewed coffee. They were usually around 1.50 to 2 dollars a cup, maybe more expensive now though.
It’s not always so easy for everyone, I’ve been trying for years with effort off and on with plenty of studying and have had maybe two lucid dreams ever. I have never been able to remember many dreams, I think that is a big factor. When I did have the lucid and semi-lucid experiences it was when I had been in the habit of writing my dreams down, it increased the number of dreams I remembered massively.

First seen at a time when people didn’t understand bird migration, it helped to explain where all the birds would go.

For a better response to writing, an exercise an instructor had my class do was to look at a list of example sentences and remove every word that wasn’t essential. I don’t think your writing is so difficult to interpret but a more plain style can be helpful for some. Most people aren’t trying to ‘add it up’ in conversation like it’s math, it should be quick and intuitive. The way we read our own writing is different than how others will emphasize or pace it which can cause misinterpretation as well.
I feel like I see a lot of arguments online that are really just people misinterpreting each other repeatedly.
I wouldn’t say they are too dumb to realize this necessarily, people are just misled by endless propaganda or don’t have the time and energy/skills to really contemplate things properly.
I could still see people trying to make it work for generations for some reason, many early colonists in the West died before stable states could be founded.
That is probably a part of why I do comment more here, I would see comment sections on reddit sometimes already with hundreds of comments and just felt like I was trying to slip into a convo that had already been well established or whatever, here I feel more likely to comment because the sections will be sparser and my comments will actually get replies from the users in the thread.
Thats what I’m confused about, if they have staff to run it all the time, why would they schedule people like this except to make their lives more miserable? I do know bosses love that though.
Edit: Someone pointed out people don’t want to work only the swing shift or night, so they schedule like this to keep full crews, I guess that makes sense but it still sucks
