72·2 days ago‘They’ has always existed in the English language as plural or singular, context dependent. Hence it’s natural transition into a pronoun. Non-native English speakers can be excused for using gendered pronouns because the problem isn’t them not knowing and using it in the first place, it’s them refusing to update the language after a reasonable explanation to do so.
People are brigading, sure, but it’s such a simple change to make, one that only helps the world. So, yeah, fuck the devs honestly. Just accept the PR and move on, there was no need for any of this.
2·7 days agoI’m not a developer. Just explaining why projects keep within their scope and don’t bloat their software with features, which in turn take more effort to maintain.
They have their scope. It’s a video transcoder. Programs are better suited to doing their job well rather than stretching themselves thin with loads of features.

Not that big of a deal to me personally, the app is still brilliant and open to the community. But given the community this is posted in I understand the concern and alternatives like Organic Maps are great for that.
I see, that’s very useful for lower end devices then. If I ever need voice, I’ll stick to OSMAnd then for now.
I like OSMAnd’s visuals, very simple and configurable. OM seems to just be material design. Subjective of course!
What are some reasons as to why I would want to use this over, say, OSMAnd?

The Sony Xperia phones offer IP68 with an SD card slot and a 3.5mm port. They just have poor software support and cost a shit ton.
I dont have a pixel, but if there’s like a “pro” mode in the camera app, you can play around with the shutter speed and expose for longer. After the event the sky looked normal, but I could still get the purple green with my phone camera!
Unless you are in an area with low light pollution, it doesn’t look like it does in photos. You can’t exactly increase the exposure time of your eyeballs :D
You see like purple/orange streaks in the sky, still beautiful, but the cameras exaggerate it.
1·3 months agoI mean other than screen size and battery size, they could have the same specs. It was a theoretical though, people like buying features they don’t need or just like to have the best they can, even if that means having a larger phone. I think anything past ~6 inch screens is just way too large, but some people enjoy their phablets, so I wouldn’t like to see that option disappear for them either.
More so they upsold people to the bigger models. If they had exactly the same specifications other than size, I bet a much larger set of people buy the smaller one. The phone in this post does look a bit too small though.
They will come with any bullshit argument to try and defend their anti-human opinions.
