Go ahead.
Go ahead.
It isn’t black and white. Get over it.
I don’t understand why you’d prefer the possibility of danger over somebody being cuffed for 2 minutes.
The cops didn’t take that away.
The person who swatted him did.
Sure it does. I hate the police and thousands of their stupid rules, but them temporary cuffing you when they are assessing whether or not there is actual danger is just how it goes. If you watch the video, you can see he was only cuffed for 2 minutes.
Germany does try and track these people down and throws them in jail: https://www.vice.com/de/article/erstes-deutsches-swatting-hohe-freiheitsstrafe-fuer-drachenlord-hater/
Even if a streamer is a big target, and the police is aware, they will still go and check it out. It’s an inconvenience for everybody involved, but it’s still the best way to go about it. The only thing that can really be done is to track the people making the calls, or I think in this case an email? Anyways, in Germany you can get jail time for doing this, and they do try and track them down.
I replied to:
With snap they can release the package a single time, and it can be used across all of their releases. I think this is the main point of snap. Being able to use it across other systemd distros is just a bonus.
I’m not saying they would.
Yeah but only in 2016 were they made available for other Linux distros. Flatpaks were available since 2015.
Using 12hr notation is a bigger joke though.
I don’t understand. A 24hr clock would be prophetic? Or the time 20:28?
24hr clocks are used wordwide except for a few countries. The image in the OP looks Czech and the Czech Republic uses 24hr notation.
From my experience, those discussions only happen when Distros are compared.
When I’m talking to other Linux people, there has never been any competition, and as long as you are using Linux you are a bro.
You’re just describing flatpack.

I think Linux works so good right now, that most of the appeal will come from third party vendors supporting Linux. The few anticheats and big apps like photoshop and sony vegas are used by many and are still a big obstacle which Linux can’t magically fix that easily.
What I’ve also noticed makes it appeal a lot to the people around me, is that when suggesting Linux, I also offer them tech support free of charge for whatever problem they have.
Chadman would never say brrrrrrr
Hey look it’s somebody who uses their own device in whatever way they want.
I’ve been in a similar situation where some agents from the anti terrorism brigade came to my door. Sometimes you just have to shut up and work with them how they see fit.
Nobody was body-slammed, nobody was disrespected, nobody was being held longer than necessary or with excessive force.
This isn’t a situation to turn into hate towards the police. Just get over it and don’t be a fucking asshole.
