There shouldn’t even be admission based on what you score in some random test. My (non-US) university accepted everyone who applied, at least for my field of study. Does that mean many people drop out after a semester or two? Absolutely, but there are countless people completing their studies who would have never gotten a chance to do so otherwise. Why shouldn’t they be allowed to prove themselves?

Dann kann man das mit AKWs vergleichen, wobei ich meine, dass AKWs mehr, aber nicht sehr viel mehr radioaktiven Abfall verursachen. Dennoch speien Kohlekraftwerke das ganze in die Luft…

You can access both communities, subscribe to both and post to both. Their content is (mostly) identical, the only difference is who’s hosting it.

There is no central authority determining the rules. For instance, Reddit can ban whatever they like and allow whatever they like. That’s not how it works here. The only rules are what each community decides are their own rules. Certain communities, such as !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com no longer exist in some sort of tolerated limbo, unlike on Reddit where they could be shut down at a moment’s notice.

Ich nutze Anki allgemein zum Lernen, für Vokabeln ist es auch gut geeignet. Man erstellt sich eigene Karteikarten (oder downloadet, es gibt öffentliche Kartensets) und die Karten werden je nachden wie gut du sie kannst häufiger oder seltener zum Lernen angezeigt. Es läuft auf allen gängigen Systemen, die einzige Plattform auf der es Geld kostet ist iOS. Man hat zudem kostenlosen Cloud-Speicher zum Synchronisieren der Karten und des Lernfortschritts auf verschiedene Geräte.

Ein paar englisch-deutsch Vokabelsets sind hier, die Qualität kann ich aber nicht einschätzen. Grundsätzlich würde ich empfehlen, die Karten selbst zu erstellen - das kann aber ziemlich lang dauern:
