You can think whatever you want about my post, unfair/arrogant idc, I’m just sharing a very common view from among the women I know and the discussions I’ve read. Not every one out there in the dating world is a creep, but I’d rather be careful since I only had a limited time to go out.

It’s not that every single person falls in to those two camps, but social media is super duper common, so why would I risk wasting my time on someone I can’t vet?

As a woman who was single and dating, saying you don’t have a social media is a red flag. Best case scenario, you truly don’t and it’s probably from having some sort of arrogant judgement value about people who do, worst case, you have a spouce you are hiding from me.

Either way, not worth the risk. Like all the women I know feel the same. Sure it’s a historically newer redflag that didn’t exist 10-50 years ago, but neither was worrying about crypto gambling and manospehre BS. Modern problems require modern precautions.

Unwatchable???

I’m confused, I’m way more critical of it than alot of my friends (corporate feminism is of course paper thin and filled with holes) but it’s still honestly hilarious with some super catchy music.

Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion, but unwatchable feels harsh to me. What turned you off?

Well, yeah. I agree beauty is a flawed, racist, social construct that is just societal opinions in bulk. But money is also a fake social construct that has very real affects on everyday life. We can deconstruct the term “beauty” all night, but that doesn’t change the lived reality of being called ugly having a real, genuine, hurtful effect on my self esteem.

I know that probably has more to do with his life than mine, but it’s hard not to take it personally and wonder if it’s what everyone else is too polite to say.

About 20% I’d say. It used to be much higher, arounx80%, but pushing through the anexity of feeling like have nothing to contribute has helped improved my writing. Perhaps it’s come with age, but I feel like it’s much easier to make myself and my thought process understood by others. A younger me thought that logic and just “being correct” was enough to be persuasive, but that’s just not how people work.

Photo shopped my old insurance card with a new date to trick the judge into thinking that the ticket I got for driving without insurance was invalid. Saved me $600.

Later, my boss made me turn in a driving history. I photoshoped a lot of stuff out of it before turning it in.

As a queer person, I don’t. You supporting a party that opposes my rights and is actively demonizing my existence. From grooming rhetoric to outright calls for the abolition for my way of life Listening to conservative politicians is frightening, scary and isolating. I’m sure you don’t think of yourself as a bigot, but every donation, vote or right wing politician you promote, you embolden those who ask seek to block my basic rights. And very often, those people succeed. Your priority for “your own self interest” at the expense of my existence does not make you a nice person.

Kind people aren’t selfish. Your actions harm me and many others like me, but you only think of yourself.
