I use Feedly. It’s not Google News, but it works well, the mobile app is great, and it’s not going to be killed on a whim.
Instead of a “renaissance man”, I’m a “renaissance nerd”. Pinball? Sure. Sci-fi? Of course. video games? Natch. 70’s Italian Prog-rock? A raison d’etre.

Sorry, dude. Figured I’d be semi constructive rather than just a downvote. I haven’t seen one like that since the SSR.
That would’ve been better, honestly.
About 10miles this past year , just curious how hard it would be. Boring more than anything else. Next time is 20.
Gotcha. Starbucks, now with atmosphere!
What are those buildings, any idea? Businesses? Houses? I see what look like signs out front, but can’t tell what for. Idle curiosity.
I used it for a good 2-3 years. More than anything, it was stable and reliable. Updates worked fine and it handled all my hardware, which I’d run into problems with on other Linuxes. No complaints, though migrating versions was a WTF, because there was no clear path with CLOS, so wound up learning Debian and their Toy Story-based version naming convention.
Yeah, definitely a concert to Mermaid.
Excalidraw. Reading is hard. (Yeah, I missed that it was mentioned in the thread)
What did you use to chart this? And nicely done.
“He’s vibrating!” LOL
Probably a large ask of your doggo, but have you tried a slightly long-term exposure? I know longer term exposures will smooth out the ripples and provide a better glass-like reflection, but I’m unsure how long that would be, and whether or not your dog would willingly sit there for that long.
Ah! Neat, thanks for finding that. And of course, reading the article my first thought was “yes, we have these fancy balconies, and it’s a new concept- but still older than your country”. LOL.
Malta punches so far above its weight. Visited and had a blast. Food was phenomenal, people were great, public transit worked really well, and several phenomenal ruins. It wasn’t remotely on my “want to visit” list before I went, but I’d definitely return.
OP: can you share why the second story bay windows are everywhere? It’s a neat piece of architecture but never asked why they did it.
Honestly, for me it’s been a godsend when it comes to versioning. New version of software comes out, I pull the new container and flip to it. If there are issues, roll it back and stay there until the next release. I’ve had various DLL/pkg hell over the years. Plex, sure, but Jesus the problems my group has had with BG3 and other apps have made me wish I could better compartmentalize apps. Oh there’s another one. Ancient piece of software? Run it in a container with the ancient version of ,Net or VB or Python or whatever.
Check and make sure that Snaps didn’t get installed somehow. Upgraded Ubuntu and it installed snaps, which broke it.
(Or Santa Fe, Denver or Dallas - all the Meow Wolf sites are amazing)
Nice post!
I’ve seen what seems like a super-complicated gate latch, this is elegant.
