Eh, I keep a Windows 10 machine because Linux won’t run Reason even in wine. Everything else gets done on my laptop running Mint. Adobe does things that aren’t easily replaced. No point in shaming folks for the tools they use.

The fingerings are different. Playing one just doesn’t mean you can automatically switch back and forth.

Damn, I got down voted for telling the truth. Banjo uses light strings, and if set up well has low action. Also since only 4 strings are fingered, chords are not the pretzels guitar chords are. Y’all know every instrument can be used to play any kind of music, right? What’s with the banjo hate?
I have to stop you there. Fingering for french horn is different from the other valved brass.

Interesting. I can imagine this crowd making a big deal of it. The biggest hurdle for many of us to switch is the user base we have to turn to for help. There’s a lot of dissenting opinions and gatekeeping to muddle through. I’m liking Mint so far though. Thank you for the straightforward answer.
