You just dirtied a knife, a cutting board, a fork, a bowl, a plate, used a can opener, 11 ingredients, and prepped four of the main ingredients. I do like tuna salad though and this sounds delicious. Except for the American cheese.

I think the prompt was ease of prep, not how stable the ingredients are.
