I myself wanted one of those remote controlled air planes. I thought that’s the coolest thing ever. Once I grew up and had the money, I never bought it.

      I never had one either, but when they made a comeback in the last few years, I helped my daughter set hers up and I got stuck babysitting occasionally.

      I can’t really imagine the appeal unless it was a standalone device. The tactility and self-contained nature is the only thing that would make it feel like something “real enough” to bother with.
